America's Cup
There were 170 twelve meter yachts built between 1907, when the class was defined, and 1987 when the last america\'s cup was sailed on 12 meters. The famous \"America II\" is here in Hawaii and ready to continue sailing for pleasure or commercially. Great potential business opportunities. Business Opportunity AMERICA II, a 12 Meter Class Yacht, was built for the New York Yacht Club to challenge for the right to bring the America\'s Cup back to the USA. The race series was sailed in Fremantle, Australia and Dennis Connor with \"Stars and Stripes\" won that right and the Cup. Since that time America\'s Cup races have been in larger (and much more expensive yachts). This makes America II the last of a long line of very famous yachts. She was converted by her present owner, a corporation to comply with Coast Guard regulations and has a current COI for 26 passengers and 3 crew. The sails are new with less than 5 months use. The mast is fairly new and it was re-rigged 2 years ago. The vessel is a powerful and thrilling sailboat.
