Mike Kaufman, the designer of this thoroughbred 49 cutter put it all together with this sleek, fast, mono hull.  The owner has won numerous off shore regattas, while the HOBO maintains comfortable accommodations for family and friends. The build quality is evident from the moment you step aboard and even more so when you go below.   There is no denying this is a wonderful yacht.

There have been many upgrades to the HOBO while under the present owner. All items were new replacements.  Heavy duty main sail in 2006.  Heavy dacron North 115% jib in 2007.  Awlgrip hull paint in 2010.  Bottom paint in 2013. Canvas and frame replaced in 2010-2011. Maxwell windless in 2006.  Frigaboat Company refrigeration system box in 2007.  220 amp alternator installed 2011.  Also, new upholstery in salon and cockpit cushions in 2014.

The HOBO has a large destroyer type steering wheel, pedestal with nav-pad, Richie steering compass, Garmin color chart plotter/radar, B@G wind indicator, B@G depth sounder, B@G speed distance log , Cetrek 737 auto pilot, Yanmar engine monitoring system with RPM, oil pressure, temperature, volt meter and engine alarm. Also a Icom M80 VHF radio is included.

The fuel system has the fuel management system and transfer pump for the two tanks.  There are 2 -4D batteries for house use, and 1 Gel battery for the windless and engine start.  The battery charger  is a Xantrex True Charge 40 plus amp multi-stage battery charger. 

The Maxwell 1000 windless (new 2006)  has 250 feet of 3/8\" chain.  The spare aluminum plow anchor  has 250 feet of anchor rode.

Note:  spare sails include strong main, asymmetrical spinnaker, storm jib and storm trysail. All sails are in good condition.
