Here is what Powerboat Guide had to say about the Legacy 34 ….

\"A scaled-down version of the Legacy 40, the Legacy 34 is a Down east-style cruiser from Freedom Yachts, builder of Freedom sailboats. The 34 is a handsome small yacht which is no big surprise considering that her designer, Mark Ellis, has drawn many popular Down east yachts over the years. The Legacy is built on a fully cored hull with moderate beam, a sharp entry, and in the single-screw version a keel of sufficient depth to offer prop and rudder protection. The interior of the Legacy 34 will easily suit the needs of the cruising couple, and the above-average fit and finish is an indication of how well this boat is put together. Extra-large cabin windows provide all-around visibility, and the varnished mahogany woodwork and teak-and-holly sole add much to the traditional feel of the boat. Notable features include a deck door at the helm, wide side decks, a separate stall shower in the head, and a gas-assist engine room hatch. With a single Cummins diesel the Legacy will cruise at a comfortable 16–18 knots (20-plus knots top) with a fuel burn of better than 1 nautical mile per gallon……”

The Legacy 34 Downeast offers a 360-degree view from every seat in the house. White Formica offset by mahogany, teak or cherry woodwork and cabinetry give the boat s living space a crisp, nautical feel. Large pilothouse with two large Stidd helm chairs and GREAT Seating. Step down to the galley, there s plenty of light and convenient prep space and it is properly outfitted with refrigerator, two-burner stove with oven and stainless sink. The salon features an L-shaped settee to starboard, which has a custom drop leaf table that also drops to convert to an additional double berth.A well-sized head compartment is forward. In the forward stateroom, there s a traditional double vee berth with plenty of stowage beneath.

  • Air Conditioning 2 @ 15000 btu
  • Ash slats on hull side in Master Stateroom forward
  • Propane Stove with oven
  • AC/DC refrigerator with freezer
