Junk Rigged Skookum 34 - New arrival
\"Brass Dolphin\" is a Skookum 34 double ender , designed by Ed Monk, hull built by Skookum Marine Construction , Port Townsend, in 1978 with cabin, interior, mast and boom constructed by Glenn Yarbrough(\"The Limeliters\"), commissioned in 1989. She is rigged on an un-stayed solid spruce mast with a junk sail designed by Jacques McCloud for single-handed sailing. Stunning interior and many unique features make this a very interesting and different blue-water cruiser. The current owner bought the boat from the original owner, Glenn Yarbrough, in 2002 and has used the boat in the Puget Sound and San Juan\'s. Under the previous owner \"Brass Dolphin\" sailed extensively to Hawaii, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, West Coast of North & Central America, Panama Canal, Caribbean, Bermuda, Azores and the Mediterranean. Rigged for single-handed sailing and for safety, it has a single diesel Beta Kubota engine, 400gal water capacity, 180 gal diesel, no stays, bucket heads or through hull fittings. The galley, while practical in it\'s own right , also keeps the interior warm even in the coldest conditions. A truly original, practical and comfortable blue water sailboat.
