This is a unique opportunity to purchase on of the finest Tyne Class 47 lifeboats produced to date, Boat number 18 and recently de commissioned from service, fitted with twin detroit Diesel engines which were fitted new in 2007 and only 950 hours currently, she has a Corten steel hull with an alloy superstructure and a vast electronic and safety equipment inventory. Also fitted with watertight hatches to enable to the hull to be watertight and self righting. The hull has twin tunnels for propellor protection and easy manoeuvring capabilities in heavy seas and bilge keels. This boat cost in excess of 1.2 million pounds to produce in 1987.
