Camper & Nicholson
Grey Mist, a 135’ yacht built by the prestigious yacht builders of Camper & Nicholson, is a vessel filled with rich history and lavish luxury. Launched in Southampton, England, Grey Mist has travelled around continents, participated in the largest navel evacuation in history at Dunkirk in World War II, and been host to a variety of celebrities, business moguls, and lords and ladies. Able to sleep 12 adults in elaborate staterooms and entertain more with her massive salon, bar, and modern galley, Grey Mist goes beyond just your standard pleasure yacht. From 2003 to 2011 Grey Mist underwent an extensive refit upgrading all her major mechanical and electrical components and restoring all her luxurious accommodations. In 1919 Grey Mist was a dream for H.N. Anderson. By 1920 the exclusive ship makers of Camper & Nicholson had made this dream a reality and created Grey Mist. Throughout the years Grey Mist lived history, from being requisitioned by the British Navy for the Dunkirk Evacuation and as a signal ship throughout World War II, to entertaining various royalty, tycoons, and even Hollywood celebrities. Many years later Grey Mist’s current owner discovered her in South Africa, in 1993, where he set to work preparing her for the trip to America. Traveling in 1998 around the Cape and crossing the Atlantic, Grey Mist arrived in Texas where she has undergone an extensive refit, from 2003 to 2011, restoring her to the brilliance of her past years while modernizing her with today’s advanced equipment. Now Grey Mist waits in Texas prepared to see where she will take her next owner.
