Cook/Page Custom Yawl - Newly Available

CAROLER is an especially fine example of the Spirit of Tradition class.   Perhaps no Spirit of Tradition class yacht has so well captured the feeling and appearance of a genuine classic yacht while utilizing modern cold molded construction techniques and finishes. CAROLER is a unique confluence of an owner with the knowledge and the taste to envision such a superb design, a yacht designer capable of skillfully designing just what the yacht’s owner wanted, and then again an owner with the experience, facilities and an obsession with quality construction, all of which resulted in a genuinely extraordinary yacht that is beautiful and fast.   CAROLER’s design pedigree is that of some of the yachts most admired by her owner.   Her overall appearance successfully conveys the impression and feeling of a large Concordia yawl and the legendary Concordia details, her designer, Bill Cook, having deftly managed the difference in scale.  Her stem profile is reminiscent of CAPER.  Out of the water CAROLER’s hull below the waterline has features of the Ted Hood whale body that contributed to the success of Hood’s ocean racing ROBIN’s and the famous comfort of Hood’s designs at sea.  The overall result is graceful and classic yacht with excellent speed – fast enough to win the Astor Cup on the NYYC cruise.

The amount of work and attention to detail that went into CAROLER’s construction is inspiring. Her construction was one of those rare cases when a private party was in a position – not burdened by the pressure of a schedule or meeting an estimate – can exceed in quality most of the best professional yacht building yards.  In fact CAROLER could be mistaken for the best products of Walsted, Plym or A&R.

The precision and obsession with quality that CAROLER’s owner focused on her original construction has been equally carried through her life with meticulous maintenance and attention to detail.  Any prospective purchaser is likely to be impressed with CAROLER’s appearance.  CAROLER’s owner has now reluctantly placed her on the market.  She is enthusiastically given our HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
