The LOCHIN 40 SPORTS CRUISER has many guises and this particular craft was purpose built for charter diving which she has successfully undertaken with her original owner. Equally happy to cruise distant shores or taking up to twelve \'hairy\' divers, she is a craft that breeds confidence even in the worst conditions. Lochin have a saying \' if you want to know how good they are, ask an owner of one - on his answer Lochin\'s reputation hangs\' and such is the nature of these craft that many owners are happy to run them for many years. Ready for cruising pleasure or serious work, this craft is maintained to the Workboat Code Cat. 2.

CATEPILLAR 3126TA turbo-charged and intercooled diesel engine connected to a TWIN DISC reduction gearbox, driving through a direct 2\" shaft arrangement. A \'P\' bracket supports the outer bearing and a five-bladed propeller is fitted. This engine unit was selected to provide an economic propulsion system for distance travelling when loaded. Servicing undertaken as advised at appropriate intervals and records are available.

ELECTRICAL
A 24v DC system provided by two battery banks - one dedicated for engine start - battery charging by engine alternator.
Inverter provides a 24v/240v circuit.
Paguro 4000 5Kva generator set, installed early 2012,
supplying 240v /24v with 12v charging for its own battery.
240v AC Shore power with internal ring main & consumer unit.
