The Hi-Star 44 is designed as a family cruiser and is a good fishing boat. Her profile is conservative and the cockpit is adequate. Her superb engineering and modern construction set her apart.  The 44 Convertible is particularly roomy inside where a galley-up , two staterooms layout provides the living space generally expected in a larger boat. The master stateroom is roomy and very comfortable. The all teak interior is very open, and the joinerwork and hardware is first class. The engine room is accessed below the steps forward of the galley. A good performer, 375 Cats provide economical 20 knots cruise and a top speed of 23-24 knots.

The windows in the boat are new and custom made,hull has been painted (2008),a upgraded Kilo Pak  12 KW genset,and galley remade with under the counter twin refregeration,
