The 2011 built Kernan 47,  TRUE is now for sale.  After extensive modifications under the guidance of the NMYD team,  TRUE had her double rudders replaced with one single and further forward deeper rudder, as well as a new fin and bulb.  The recent race results have proven that they were done properly. Also her sailing systems have been upgraded to make them as simple as possible as well as a lot of weight has been pulled out of her interior

From Edgartown to Key West to the Caribbean, her many first place\'s, show she is as competitive as any 45 to 52 foot race boat in the world.  Many new 2014/15 sails are also included in this turn  key package and her owner is serious about offers.

Full sit down navigation station, and enclosed head, also make this a real duel inshore and offshore racing boat.

True was designed by naval architects Kernan/Courouble Yacht Design and launched as Katana on the 7th March 2011.Built by Westerly Marine in California, USA, of carbon fiberpre-preg and nomex honeycomb core with a deck and an interior arrangement set-up for both inshore and offshore racing. She has a  powerful rig and generous sail. Pure Engineering provided full construction drawings of the composite hull structure, the engineering was carried out to the ISO12215-5CAT-AStandard, and ISAF plan approval was obtained from Germanischer Lloyd.

Initially designed and launched with dual rudders and an extremely deep keel in order to optimize for performance with a limited crew racing offshore (to Hawaii)–we under took to improve the inshore and general performance of True with a full race crew during an extensive refit in 2014. These modifications were done under the tutelage of NMYD and have been quite successful. Along with these modifications, her sail program has been completely updated and redesigned and replaced with many new 2014 and 2015 sails from North. This total package is complete and ready to keep on winning
