Crowther Charter Sailing Cat
This sailing catamaran is offered for sale for the first time by the owner who had it built. The boat is a 82ft (25 m) long x 41 ft (12.70 m) wide commercial sailing catamaran currently in survey class 1E for 150 passengers and 10 crew. The boat is one of several similar all aluminium designs manufactured by Australian Yachts Brisbane with one currently sailing in open waters in Fiji. The boat is capable of cruising in open waters subject to a survey upgrade approval.
It is equipped with good technology and is powered by reliable twin Cummins engines and twin Cummins generators to ensure a smooth cruise with a top speed of 10 knots. For a truly authentic sailing experience she also has a full set of sails with hydraulic controls. The vessel‘s mast is 35 metres off the water, which is the largest mast on a sailing catamaran on Sydney Harbour.
There is a spacious outdoor entertaining deck, large interior space and the unique feature of its opening Targa roof. There is the choice of enjoying smooth cruising with the engines on or hoisting the sails. The sails have mostly been used for downwind runs on flat waters. The port engine has only done approximately 600 hours and the starboard engine approximately 50 hours.
The saloon can comfortably cater for up to 110 guests for a cocktail function or up to 85 guests for sit down buffets.
