Lowell Lobster Yacht Launch

: This Jesse Lowell designed and built launch was commissioned in 2001. Her present owner, who is her second, wanted to acquire a launch which looked like a “lobster yacht”, capable of handling 2´- 4´chop, while running smoothly and efficiently at 16-20 knots. She is exquisitely crafted by one of the oldest wooden boat building families in Maine, the Lowells. Ward Frost is Jesse’s grandfather, well-known for building lobster boats; Carroll Lowell is Jesse’s father, and Royall Lowell, the renowned “Downeast” designer is Jesse’s uncle. ELIZABETH  certainly has the finest “Downeast” pedigree. With her highly varnished teak trim and joinerwork. She is equally at home among the Northeast Harbor set as she is amongst the lobster fisherman of Penobscot Bay.
