Passport 42

Classic Passport Yachts: Moderate displacement, performance cruiser, very well built for long-range, bluewater cruising & beautiful, all-teak interior workmanship. BOUNDLESS has always enjoyed exceptional owners & has been extensively cruised throughout the Northwest by the present owners for the last 23 years. Tremendous interior volume, tankage, storage & accommodations. Typically stored for six months of every year in fresh water, and always well-maintained by a former professional mariner & career engineer. She’ll need updating of some systems & equipment for offshore passagemaking, but otherwise ready to continue cruising our beautiful Northwest and/or liveaboard.

Accommodations

The hull form & layout design of the Passport 42 allow for the engine & water tanks to be located below the cabin sole, thereby freeing up volume under the settees, berths & under the cockpit for general storage, which also contributes to additional ballasting of the boat. The offset companionway allows for an easier entry to the boat, as well as a more generous aft stateroom than traditional aft cockpit designs.

Exceptional craftsmanship is found throughout BOUNDLESS: Solid teak staving on all bulkheads; louvered cabinet doors & frames in solid teak; removable, soft vinyl overhead panes w/ teak battens; teak & holly cabin sole throughout; exceptional lighting & ventilation throughout the boat from 5 overhead hatches (Atkins & Hoyle reversible), 6 bronze opening ports, 2 dorade ventilators, 4 large fixed windows, 4 deck prisms, 3 cabin fans, 18 dome lights, 3 brass reading lights & 3 auxiliary fluorescent lights.

The forward stateroom offers a substantial, offset double berth, with access to the chain locker forward, large hanging locker, storage outboard & under the berth, as well as numerous additional drawers & lockers.

Next aft is the roomy bathroom to port with separate shower stall, marine toilet, vanity sink & generous storage. Opposite to starboard is an additional, large, cedar-lined hanging locker.

The very-comfortable main salon has an L-shape settee to port with fold-out teak dining table & a straight settee/berth to starboard with a cabin heater mounted on the forward bulkhead. Storage outboard, behind & under the settees.

Next aft to port is the deep, sea-going galley with tremendous storage in numerous drawers & lockers. Independent fridge & freezer boxes w/ top-loading for both, as well as front-loading for the fridge. Double-deep stainless steel sinks w/ pressure water, as well as fresh & salt water manual foot pumps. The beautiful Broadwater stainless steel, 4-burner, gimballed LPG stove/oven is outboard w/ a stainless safety bar in front & two sets of padeyes for attaching a galley safety strap for rough seas.

Opposite to starboard is the large, forward-facing nav desk w/ storage under & outboard, electronics array, electrical distribution panels & wet-hanging locker just behind. Next aft is a great watch berth w/ drop-down workbench above. Opposite to port is the private aft stateroom w/ pullman double berth, drawer storage under & locker/shelf storage outboard.

Teak handles, grab rails & grab bars are available throughout the cabin, as well as sturdy brass safety rails at either side of the companionway stairs. The deep, sea-going cockpit has plenty of seating area & tremendous storage in three cockpit lockers.
