Astra, (Latin word for star), is a turn key Farr 40 ready for the Worlds in San Francisco this summer.

She is still owned by her original owner and has proven to be a very fast hull.  When she came out of the factory she went right to Waterline Systems for the full fairing job.   She comes with a massive amount of equipment including: custom sail trailer, cradle with extension legs, custom dock box, McConaghy carbon wheel, spare aluminum wheel, Ockam electronics, several sets of racing sails, delivery sails, mast head and fractional spinnaker poles, RaceVision tablet with Deckman software, upgraded Lewmar winches, Simrad autopilot and stainless steel tiller for deliveries, and many other upgrades and equipment. Astra has always been professionally maintained. She was dry sailed the first 8 years.

Astra had a major refit in 2012. Every part of the boat was serviced.  Deck nonskid was repainted, mast and boom serviced and re-painted, all new running rigging, new bottom paint, and engine serviced. Also had a Recent marine survey performed and is available for any potential buyer.
