This modern interpretation of a classic traditional design is an outstanding combination of practical features, good looks and fine performance. In fact, this \"performance downeaster\" will cruise very nicely in the 20 mph range with her twin 240hp diesels. \"Educated Ice\" has been lovingly cared for by her original owners and is extremely clean. The 34 Pilot was first introduced by Mainship in 1999 as a soft top, single engine boat with contemporary down-east styling. In 2001, a hardtop or sedan model was released. Not long after, a twin engine option was introduced for both models with a redesigned running surface taking her from a semi-displace to a full-planing hull design. Mainship continued to produce both the Pilot and Pilot Sedan models until 2010 with only minor revisions to the interior options and a revised hardtop for the sedan.
