J Boats J/145 - New to Market

The J/145 is a very capable offshore racer/cruiser.  She has competed in numerous offshore races, cruised the Mediterranean, Caribbean and New England and sailed Transatlantic with her original owners.  She has always been captain maintained to the highest standards.

SCRIMP infusion molded sandwich construction using biaxial Toray carbon fiber with e-glass in the skins with Baltek Super-Light 45 end-grained balsa core in the hull and Corecell foam core in the deck. Vinylester resin is used throughout both the hull & deck. (SCRIMP is the patented resin infusion molding process of TPI Technologies, Inc.)

White Gel Coat hull with single tapered Blue bootstripe.

White gelcoat deck with gray non-skid.

Hull-to-deck joint bonded with Plexus MA550.

Lamination specifications to exceed ABS offshore yacht standards.

SCRIMP molded structural grid individually bonded to hull. Grid includes keel floors, mast step, engine bed and longitudinal supports.

GRP molded main structural bulkhead, glassed fore & aft on hull and deck as support for shroud chainplates with dual openings to forepeak.

Composite interior components include transverse ring-frame forward, two longitudinal cockpit supports, main structural bulkhead, berth tops for q-berth, and pilot berth, each molded with E-glass - Corecell core and unidirectional reinforcements.

Molded companionway seahood with integral instrument pod, acrylic slider and drop board equipped with inside - outside stainless hasp and combination lock.

Molded stem boarding - swim platform with ladder.

Two ORC height toe-rails integrally molded into deck forward of mast.

Stainless steel handrails on cabin trunk.

Bow locker with deck hatch and overboard drainage for stowage of anchoring gear.

Cockpit seat locker to port.

Afterdeck gear locker and steering access with standard platform auto-pilot ram.

Molded propane locker to port, vented & drained overboard.
