A Formosa 51 Ketch Clipper is a special ship. This ship is so spacious that you easily can live on it. At the same time it is ideal for cruising the oceans. The The ship has a great look and is beautifully finished with lots of teak and mahogany. With 4 cabins, two toilets and two showers, it offers the space and comfort for 8 to 12 people.The ship is well equipped and has had a solid refit in 2007. Nevertheless, there are some issues need to be addressed by the new owner.

General

The Formosa \"Wind Rhapsody\" offers so much that it is hard to describe. You just have to see and taste. There is for example the beautiful spacious deck saloon, a very large owner\'s cabin and an extended kitchen. The deck offers plenty of space. There are many beautiful original features incorporated into the ship, but such a ship requires maintenance. Much has been done in recent years by the owner. The following is a portion of what is replaced or addressed: in 2007: nice light interior paint, all valves replaced, underwater ship treated with 2 components, stainless steel rigging, tensioners and almost all ropes are renewed, new upholstery in saloon. In 2012, among other underwater features new antifouling, the hull has been painted in beautiful dark blue and the two masts is treated with 7 layers of oil. In 2014, the gearbox and the windlass motor were overhauled. However, the new owner has to do some more to get everything up-to-date.Thus, for example the 2nd fuel tank and bilge (pumps) have to be cleaned, a part of the electricity must be checked and the teak deck is not in order. But the ship is worth it, absolutely. Convince yourself and come see the ship.
