LBSS presents for sale ILTIS, a 1980 Diam 40 centre cockpit sloop designed by Metalu, and strongly built in aluminium by St Breins le Pins, France for extended offshore sailing in high latitudes. This boat was cruised extensively by a husband and wife team for many years but serious illness forced her to be left on the hardstand for over two years. There is now a lot of cosmetic work and some interior woodwork required to get her back into pristine condition again. However, the aluminium hull and superstructure appear to be in excellent condition. There are some deck leaks around fittings and hatches that will require attention also. ILTIS is extremely well equipped, has a good layout and accommodation with a sound rig and an excellent suit of sails which have all been stowed inside in sailbags.  . Seven Lewmar self tailing winches control the sheets and halyards, and a new set of spare halyards is on board. Also included is a Bauer Junior ll dive compressor, and tanks with a full set dive gear plus many ships spares.

This is an excellent project boat for a handyman and is priced according to the present condition. ILTIS will certainly appreciate in value when finished. Her sister ship, also Listed by LBSS is on the market for US$130,000.  ILTIS is offered for sale by a deceased estate and will be sold, so all genuine offers will be seriously considered.
