Hallberg-Rassy Hr43 - Available now

AMAZING BOAT. CRUISE READY. OWNER WANTS HER SOLD.

BRING OFFERS, SHE\'S ALMOST NEW.

This 2006 Hallberg-Rassy 43, is the newest available! She has been meticulously maintained, to the highest standards. In fact, we made it from Trinidad to Ft Pierce in eight days! Over 1500 miles in 8 days. Great sailing vessel. If not for TS Andrea, we would have sailed straight from Trinidad to Annapolis. It wasn\'t that bad to stop as we made it from Fort Pierce to Annapolis in 4 days 2 hours. What a boat!

Marulli has been completely detailed and made ready for her next owners. She is proven passage maker, well equipped and well cared for. The Hallberg-Rassy is the only production sailing yacht being built today; that gives each hull, rig, system installation; a Certificate of Lloyds A+ Unlimited Ocean Voyages Capable Rating. That means you can go anywhere at any time. A Hallberg Rassy 43 is a perfect blue water boat!  When introduced for model year 2002 the HR43 received accolades!

  • Yacht of the Year in Germany
  • Best Midsize Cruiser in the USA
  • Best overall Cruising boat in the USA as well as
  • Top 10 in the US and
  • Import Boat of the Year in Australia

Of course these accolades are dwarfed by my enthusiasm for this fine sailing vessel. After my amazing test sail, I have to say that the boat is perfect. Well, when you consider the talent of master yacht designer German Frers who creates sailing yachts of such beauty, purpose and grace, with a sheerline that seems to endlessly sweep gracefully from bow to stern from any angle...vessels that sail as the thoroughbreds they are, effortlessly, swiftly, and comfortably on all points of sail, you\'ll agree that German Frers knows how to blend art and science.

Now combine that art and science with the talents and commitment of Master Builder Hallberg-Rassy, the builder of today’s finest sailing yachts, bar none. In a place where the wild North Sea meets the rugged rocky coastline of Scandinavia, where pride of craftsman runs generations deep, where attention to detail is immediately evident and where form and function prove to be necessary, this great builder of fine vessels has flourished to produce value and beauty not equaled by any other builder.

Well, we do have the greatest respect for the German Frers-designed, Hallberg-Rassy-built, All-Ocean Cutters. We owned one. Knowing and appreciating our HR53 really does enable us to accurately present this very special offering to our Clients. Our assessment is based on experience, knowledge and appreciation of construction, system installation, sailing characteristics, and comfort. We delivered an HR43 from Puerto Rico to Annapolis and it was absolutely the best passage we ever had! So easy to sail! So comfortable! So fast! And now with this passage from Trinidad, we know for certain that the first trip was not a dream. The HR43 is a pretty magical sailing vessel!

We are pleased to present \"Marulli\", this Hallberg-Rassy 43 All-Ocean Cutter. It is so rare to find an HR43 with a traditional mainsail with a safety pulpit instead of in-mast furling. We like that! Marulli is well equipped with complete navigation and communications electronics including an AIS and SSB. Her mechanicals including her Volvo Turbo Diesel 76HP and Fisher Panda genset are perfectly maintained and in fact she is lightly used in terms of hours. Her Elvstrom sails from 2010 are in good condition through light usage. The main and genoa are at Quantum having been inspected and put in condition for the next voyage. Mostly the sails are new including the new mainsail never used! Of course she has a removable inner forestay and storm jib (never used). With her jib cars adjustable from the cockpit she is safe and easy to sail. Gosh, she even has a bow thruster! And she has a Hydra wind vane steering system.  What a beautiful boat!

Marulli will not disappoint you in any way. She has amenities including a Wabasto diesel heater, electric sheet winches, a twizzle rig (for sailing the South Pacific), very new sails, a new Rocna anchor and wind vane steering in addition to a powerful autopilot. Marulli was purchased by her current owners in 2010 and shipped to the Mediterranean where they enjoyed family, sailing, and exploring Europe complete with pasarelle and 240 shore power.  In 2012 they made the Atlantic crossing in November in a meer 16 days! After sailing Marulli 2500 miles, I\'m not even surprised. She sails like mad! Marulli is complete with all safety equipment required for an ocean passage, with EPIRB and Liferaft certified! She even has two new Kannad Marine Survivor Recovery System Beacons and a Aquair 100 Tow and Wind generator for emergencies! Her Hydra-vane wind vane steering system and emergency rudder system is fabulous. It is mounted on a custom stern pulpit which doubles as the ultimate fish cleaning spot so as not to get mess aboard. Marulli has arrived in Annapolis and she will be completely detailed and made ready for her new owners!

Please give us a call, to discuss this very special offering. Owning a Hallberg-Rassy is definitely more than just owning a boat. We had an HR53 and loved her. Marulli is wonderful. We look forward to sharing our experience with you!

Accommodations:

The Hallberg Rassy 43 is just about a perfect cruising yacht! Designed by one of the very best and most successful yacht designers in the world, German Frers and built by one of the very best builders, the Hallberg Rassy 43 is simply a wonderful vessel. With two spacious staterooms and two heads, she is perfect for a couple of small family. Absolutely right sized for a couple to sail effortlessly. The two cabin layout is just right for a cruising couple with occasional guests.

Starting forward there is a full width double v-berth cabin with a changing seat, outboard locker, and  ample berth with drawers below and lockers outboard above the berth port and starboard.  There is optional filler for the V, so the cabin is either for two singles or a double. There is extensive shelving with a hanging locker to port and drawers and lockers opposite. Just aft of the cabin is the forward head and shower. Hallberg Rassy does a wonderful job with the head making it so easy to clean as it is all white laminate instead of wood. There is a teak grate in the stall shower with a sump beneath it so you never stand in water.

Moving aft to the salon, you’ll be thrilled with the spacious feeling of 6’7” headroom and a beautiful light ceiling panels accented with light mahogany battens. To port there is a comfortable L-shaped dinette with a beautiful drop-leaf table that provides comfortable dining for four people. On the starboard side there are two lovely lounge chairs with a cocktail table between them and great storage under the chairs which tilt up for easy access. The port settee makes a wonderful sea berth and the entire seat backs lifts up so that the berth is very wide and comfortable.

Moving aft and to starboard we find the galley which is, in my opinion, the very best galley I’ve ever experienced on an ocean passage. It is safe and secure and located just at the companionway where you can easily pass the bowls up. There is plenty of storage that is easily accessed and of course the galley is well equipped.

On the port side the forward facing sit down navigation station is located along with the ships electrical breaker panel and essentially all the controls. This is your ships office! Just aft of the nav station is the walk through to the private aft stateroom and also access to the engine room with two large doors in the passageway.

The aft stateroom is a truly private cabin with ensuite head and shower.  The large double berth is to starboard and a single berth to port with a dressing seat between with a vanity and mirror. The head has a separate shower stall with a teak grate and sump. Everything is a clean white laminate that you will love. The head compartment also has an opening port and an overhead hatch for ventilation.

In the Hallberg Rassy tradition of fine quality, the whole of the interior is finished in the highest quality mahogany that is hand rubbed satin varnish. The light mahogany makes the boat bright and spacious. High quality fixtures and furnishings accent the joinery and the quality craftsmanship is evident. The louvered cabinet doors provide ventilation that is so critical in the marine environment. The cabin sole is solid teak and holly and of course there is a Hallberg Rassy wall to wall carpet to protect the sole. These details set Hallberg Rassy apart from other builders.
