Oyster Hp53 - Price just reduced

The Oyster 53 is a truly fantastic long distance blue water cruiser, capable of cruising at 8+ knots with just a minimum number of crew and rolling off 180-200nm daily runs. With close to fifty hulls delivered, the 53 is arguably the design that put Oyster on the map and this broker clearly remembers when they first came onto the scene in the Caribbean and how unique they were at the time.  This particular example is for sale by only her second owner- who has already purchased a larger Oyster 56-  and has benefitted from constant upgrading over the years including replacement of engine; AC; refrigeration and freezer system; AC and DC panels; very recent Flag Blue painted topsides; removal of original teak decks with new nonskid; 2013 paint on all deck surfaces...the list goes on.  A very functional boat with all major systems in good working order.  Other cruising amenities include stainless davits; generator; full AC and watermaker.  Originally built for an American owner, she was constructed to US specifications with 110v electrics.

The layout below features an island berth aft in the owners cabin accessed by walking through a midship utility room on the port side which provides excellent access to the engine and tons of storage for gear.  The aft cabin has its own head with large separate stall shower with seat.  The island berth has a comfortable curved settee to starboard.  There is plenty of light and ventilation and loads of storage including a large hanging locker.  Forward of the utility area is the aft facing Nav station to port of the companionway and forward of the Nav station in the salon is a nice settee with bar forward.  The starboard salon features a large curved settee anchored by a large table with two drop down leaves. The galley is in the aft starboard area of the salon and outboard of the companionway.  It is large with countertop on three sides; twin stainless sinks forward facing; gimbaled four burner stove and oven; microwave; undercounter reefer, etc.  The inboard side of the galley also provides excellent access to the engine.  Countertops are ceramic tile. Going forward of the salon to starboard is a generous one over one cabin with head and ensuite shower across to port and all the way forward is the guest VIP cabin with large V berth with filler.  Plenty of natural light and ventilation with deck prisms; opening ports and hatches and signature Oyster forward opening raised salon windows port and starboard in main salon.  Set up for shorthanded sailing and offshore passage making but an excellent family boat or cruising layout for two couples.

This 53 features a Sheel (shoal draft) Keel keeping draft down to only 5\' 9\".  Cutter rigged sloop with Hood in-mast furling.  Full canvas package and lots of cruising gear including tools make this a very attractive offering in the Blue Water Cruising market.

Realistically priced and conveniently located in Newport, Rhode Island.  We invite your inquiry and inspection.
