Nicholson 303 - Fin keel cruiser/racer

“Nikita” was purchased by her current owner 10 years ago and has been berthed here afloat at Tollesbury Marina.  Her owner has sailed frequently to Holland, Belgium and France and describes her as a fast and immensely seaworthy boat.  Her owner is very sad to part with her, regretfully he has failing eye sight.  “Nikita” had her last survey in 2010, her engine has been serviced annually with a last service in 2014 and had new engine mounts in 2009. 

CONSTRUCTION                             Built in 1980.  GRP construction with white topsides and superstructure and grey decks, Bermudan sloop rig, fin keel, self draining aft cockpit with tiller steering, 5 berth internal layout in 2 cabins with around 6ft maximum headroom.

ENGINE:                                           

Yanmar twin cylinder 15HP inboard diesel, raw water cooled.  10 gallon fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around 2/3 of a gallon at a cruising speed of about 5 knots.  Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt batteries.  Shaft drive to 2 blade folding propeller.  Current engine hours 1824 approx.

NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT:       

Compass, Navstar echo sounder, B & G log, windspeed and wind direction, Swiftech VHF radio, windvane at masthead, Raymarine ST1000+ tiller pilot, Garmin chart plotter, radar reflector, clock and barometer, various charts, external VHF speaker, navigation light, tri colour masthead light and anchor light.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:           

She is equipped with an electric 240 volt hot air heater, her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, cool box, various pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, cold water supply to the sink from 20 gallon fixed water tank.  Her separate heads compartment has a Lavac marine toilet, beige vinyl upholstery and blue carpets.

ACCOMMODATION:                  

There are 5 berths in 2 cabins including 2 “V” berths in the forward cabin and 3 berths in the saloon.
