DAW 24 Exceptional trailer-sailer sport boat that is fun to sail. Great boat for evening races and trailing to regattas around the country. “Captn Jack” is one of 3 DAW 24s class sport boats (originally called Snapper 24). Launched and briefly sailed in 2008, it has been brought out of storage and prepared for the racing season.
Built with carbon composite laminates, carbon mast, lifting keel with lead bulb, full suit of sails, safety equipment and road trailer. The boat trails easily behind a family estate car. The mast is deck stepped and shallow keel up draft makes for easy slipway launching or use the single point for crane lifting. Outboard engine & new North sails. Light displacement, slim sport boat, with sail area displacement ratio optimized for light airs windward / leeward and breezy running with spinnaker poles.
