This performance cruiser was built by Thunderbird Products of Decatur, IN in 1992. Stock #08430 A survey in February 2012 reveals that her upkeep was exactly that - METICULOUS.

HULL

The polyester laminate reinforced with fiberglass matt and woven roving is in very good condition. As are the original gel coat and Stainless trim. The few small scratches and mars are only superficial. Her topside, reinforced with balsa core is also very good with only a few very minor stress cracks. There is no delamination or separating of glass anywhere.

ENGINE & MECHANICAL

The fresh water cooled counter rotating (V-8 7.4L CID GM block) MerCruiser plants have and will have recent rebuilds. The starboard engine was rebuilt in 2012. Within 10 minutes after this POP associate finished inspecting and photographing this cruiser, the port engine was pulled to be rebuilt. Please note in the video the appearance of the port engine, as it had been prepped to be removed that day. The seller again made the point to me that whether it sells or not, he wants a safe, reliable vessel for his use or someone elses. The hours on the meters are original, but again, this owner had the starboard side rebuilt in 2012 (< 50 hours since); and the port engine is being rebuilt June/July 2014.

The Quiksilver generator is in good condition, turns over right away and holds the load it should.

Hoses, lines, electrical components and wiring are well maintained and secure throughout.

The head, PVC holding tank, valves and all plumbing are in good working order.

This cruiser is in very good overall condition.


****IMPORTANT NOTES TO BUYERS****

While all offers will be considered, the port engine is being rebuilt as you read this and it will be the 3rd week of July (estimated) before she is ready to be water-trialed. The same mechanic is doing this port rebuild who did the starboard side in 2012 and who has been maintaining this vessel for the current owner for the last 8 years.
