VOODOO CHILD is one of the highly regarded Farr 39ML racers built by Mark Lindsay and his crew at Boston Boatworks. In contrast to many sisterships of the era, attention to detail and quality of construction is evident upon inspection. Her glass/epoxy/foam hull is stiff and light. An experienced race boat owner has campaigned her at a high level with top finishes at nearly every Pacific Northwest event over recent years. A predecessor to Farr\'s very popular Farr 40OD design, she is an exceptional all-around race boat for Puget Sound, excelling in both round the buoys and medium distance racing.

In 2012, VOODOO CHILD was hauled at CSR Marine in Seattle where a new Paul Bieker designed high aspect keel was installed. To accommodate the new deeper, higher aspect keel, the internal structure was completely reconfigured with a new “trunk” style keel grid. Her rig was removed, inspected and painted. All new Harken winches were installed and she received a new Baltoplate racing bottom.

VOODOO CHILD’s interior is spartan and simple. It is finished in white paint with molded fiberglass benches and furniture for low maintenance. The forepeak is a wide open space. Just aft is an enclosed head compartment with toilet and sink. Aft is the galley with a top loading icebox to starboard and counter, sink and Origo alcohol stove to port. There are settees to port and starboard in the main cabin with hinged tops and storage spaces beneath. A chart table space is located above the engine compartment beneath the cockpit and companionway stairs. Pipe berths and cushions are available to accommodate four for overnight racing.
