Spencer Lincoln, the designer, used the Maine lobster boat as a starting point for his Duffy hulls.He incorporated a smooth long surface, full keel, weight displacement and overall balance into the 42. The boat was designed to handle the sometimes unforgiving harsh coast and most challenging weather of Maine. This boat is able to turn on a dime and get up and go. The performance, comfort, safety and long term structural integrity of hundreds of Duffy & Duffy vessels built has given their owners great peace of mind throughout the years. Step aboard \"NOAH\" through her double door companionway and you immediately notice a spaciousness and elegance. The craftsmen at Duffy & Duffy created a handsome interior that will be the envy of any yachtsman. Upon entering you will find a very thoughtful, well laid out Galley to port featuring Corian counter tops, SS side by side refrigerator/freezer, SS sink w/ hot and cold pressure fresh water, a three burner cook-top with oven and abundant storage in cabinets. Opposite to starboard you will find a dinette with a teak dinning table and for and aft seating with storage beneath. the dinette can also convert to double berth. Forward of the dinette you will find the inside helm station with a complete set of electronics, engine gauges and controls. The lower helm station offers good visibility for docking and inclement weather. There is a teak and rubber cabin sole in the main cabin. Further forward down a set of teak center-line stairs leads to a small hallway to starboard  you will find a large separate stall shower, opposite to port in the hallway is a hanging locker. Continue forward and you enter the elegant yet practical owners stateroom featuring a custom built center-line queen berth, there are two large hanging lockers to port and starboard, storage drawers under the bed and outboard on both sides, there is a private en-suite head with Corian counter tops, medicine cabinet, large storage cabinet , sink w/hot & cold pressure water and a Vacu-flush marine toilet. The cabin sole is varnished teak & holly.
