Atkinson Tourboat

This is a rare find: a fiberglass tour boat that is re-powered and ready for work. It would be perfect for use as a whale-watch or dive boat or for commercial sport fishing. Atkinson builds very strong boats and are the creators of the Cape Island type. The boat is offered ready to go at a price that is about two-thirds of the cost of a new bare hull.

Red fiberglass hull with white boottop and copper bottom paint; the hull has a foam core and the deck and deck-house are fiberglass over plywood. She has a large self-bailing cockpit and flybridge. Hydraulic steering at two stations.  The transom has a door that is hinged horizontally at cockpit sole level such that it drops-down to make a platform.

The boat was certified for carrying 38 passengers and three crew. The certification was maintained until 2011.
