Description: Girasole, Italian register n° I - 2GE 4977D is a lovely wooden classic yawl   built by Cantiere Sangermani with the construction number 106 in 1958 .

She was born as a fast II class RORC cruiser racer, like the 3 sisters Raggio di Sole ,Cipi and Leticia do Sol . The yacht has always been succesfull and well maintained . Drawings and specifications of her are found in the prestigious volume “Catalogo Bolaffi dello Yachting “ of 1960

Costruction and Accomodations: Classic wooden construction : mahogany planking on oak frames bronze fastened . Beutifull mahogany insides ; teak deck

Accommodations:  from the cockpit walking forward : Engine behind the ladder and under the cockpit ;galley with fridge on the left hand side; Chart table on the right ; Wide salon: Central nice table and 2 settee – beds –on the sides . Forward there is a bathroom on the left and a wide storage on the right of a short corridor leading to the elegant owner cabin with 2 separate beds and a central chest of drawers between them on the forward end of the cabin  .

A separate entrance from the fore deck leads to a ample sail locker that can be easily transformed in a crew cabin . A second toilet could be fitted there as it was in origin.

History: The actual owner provided a deep check and a restoration in 2004 . The yacht was structurally sound and strong. A new teak deck was layed among that extraordinary maintenance session. Following that , every year the boat has received ordinary maintenance to all the mechanics, electrics and wooden parts. Girasole has always bright shining varnishes inside and outsides , thanks to at least 3-4 time varnishing every year .

Girasole  is well maintained and seldom used

Her home port is on the NW coast of Italy
