Hobie Cat 16 Catamaran

Hobie Cat 16 Catamaran

Not many of these 2000 or better models are available on the used market - - but here one is !! Come get this Hobie 16 before someone else does !!

The hulls are from the newer construction of fiberglass and klegecel cored foam.  In 45 years of selling Hobie 16\'s we have NEVER seen the hulls with this construction fail while sailing were as most any Hobie 16  from 1984 and older do have potential issues with de-lamination and occasionally hull failures.  THIS IS VIRTUALLY UNHEARD OF with the construction that this 2000 model enjoys.  It is the same method that Hobie Cat uses today.  Tough, light and superiorly up to the incredible loads that the Hobie 16 develops while sailing.

Complete with trailer and sail box for securing/keeping the sails dry and out of the sun while not sailing, this 2000 Hobie 16 Limited Edition has a pretty new after market tramp in black mesh.  We will post photos of the colored sails soon, so stay tuned.

With a new Hobie 16 with trailer and sailbox being around 13,500.00  you will find this 2000 model a tremendous value.  The gelcote is in shinny condition and is quite attractive.  She looks more like a 2006 to 2010 model when you see the glass and its reflection in the sun.  In running a depreciation schedule we find that the boat and trailer should be worth between 5,900  and 6,000 +/-.  The 5,750.00 is lots better than 13,500.00 by any measure.

Located on our  yard in Memphis, Tn. we are located @ US 78 and the souther loop around Memphis at Exit 21 on the north east corner of that intersection so we are easy to get to from I 55 or I 40, US 72 OR US 78.

We can take a refundable deposit over the phone to hold the boat to allow you reasonable opportunity to come see this boat and potentially drive her home  SO YOU ARE READY FOR SPRING.  Just need a 1 &7/8\" ball on your hitch and want to plan for an exciting 2015 sailing season.
