Van Dine Cutter

Sappho (ex: Flirt) was designed and built by Peter Van Dine in Annapolis, Maryland.  Sappho is in all ways a very traditional, comfortable cruiser with pleasant lines, spruce spar, full keel, teak decks with a recent awlgrip hull in 2011.

Current owner has completed major upgrades. A recent survey disclosed elevated moisture in sections of the hull.

What does elevated moisture mean:

A  the foam core is wet; not bonding to the fiberglass

B  difficult to obtain hull insurance

C  with restrictions and common sense, you might be able to sail her for several years in protected waters

Future:

A  currently, the machinery, Origo stove, sails, equipment, bronze, brass, and the ballast are worth more than the Selling Price

B  take her home; turn the boat into a mini-summer cottage.  Bury the hull up to the deck for easy access.  It\'s not going to leak and it\'s equipped with a bilge pump!

C  make the ship into a Land Adventure.

PRICE REDUCED TO $3,000.
